Improving life. Empowering lives. We make difficult times easier. Cancer Family Care is a nonprofit organization that helps children and adults cope with the effects of a cancer diagnosis in the family. We are known throughout the Greater Cincinnati region as a force of compassion and strength in the face of cancer-related illness and loss.
For 40 years, we have provided therapeutic counseling, education, support, and hope to all people touched by cancer. Additional services include free wigs to cancer patients, therapeutic massage, and mammography screening at no cost. Our programs are available at four area offices, and to ensure continuity of care, our social workers and counselors are glad to make house calls. CFC is a United Way partner agency and is accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

"Cancer Family Care is a wonderful organization, and I'm so thankful for the service they offer. I know when I refer a patient to CFC, my patient will be in the best of hands. CFC bends over backwards to meet the emotional needs of our patients, as well as the multitude of the other services they offer. As an oncologist, it is gratifying to know there is an organization in our community dedicated to hope, support, and wholeness of the cancer patient." Ruth Lavigne, MD - University of Cincinnati Barrett Cancer Center
"I've been on both sides of Cancer Family Care, as a client, and now as a supporter. A cancer diagnosis certainly affects you physically. But for me, the emotional toll was probably more profound. A friend recommended CFC and their staff. They did a wonderful job of guiding me and my partner through those trying months. I continue to be involved with Cancer Family Care years later because I know how important CFC was to us, and want to get the message out to the community so other families can benefit. It truly is an awesome organization." Michelle in Indian Hill
"Cancer upended my life and my family's life. The diagnosis changes everything. It instills fear, sadness, and despair. Cancer Family Care helped ease the fear, relieve the suffering, and gave me the confidence and hope I needed to pick up the pieces and continue living the life I wanted." Kevin in Florence
"Cancer is never about one person. People with cancer are so much more than patients. They have families, friends, and employers that depend on them. That is why Cancer Family Care is so important to each one of us, our community, and our world. That's why I support their efforts." Julie Isphording - author, speaker, former US Olympic marathon runner
"I am overwhelmed by all that Cancer Family Care has done to help me. I honestly believe they have made a huge difference in my life. I know if I hadn't made that one phone call and gotten a referral to CFC and had their support, I wouldn't be here now. I am seeing pieces of my old self and learning to adapt to the changes that have happened and reengaging in life again. I tell people I meet who are struggling with cancer about CFC's programs and how they are helping me. I can't say enough about having a clinical social worker/advocate on my side." Diane in Cheviot
"Cancer Family Care was a source of help and understanding from my wife's initial, frightening diagnosis until months after her untimely death. I still greatly appreciate having had a place to sort out the emotions of transition. They do good work." John in Blue Ash
"The Cancer Family Care staff is in my corner and they let me know it in so many ways. All of their services have been such a blessing, including wigs, massage therapy, and school visits for my kids. I would recommend them to anyone that is struggling with cancer." Sharon in Finneytown
